Hammonds Go European with new Masters!
The Hammonds Band are pleased to announce that Toby Brazier has joined the solo cornet bench and Helene Missioux takes over the 2nd euphonium chair.
All that Jazz!
Toby joins the band after recently relocating to Thornton, near Bradford, having completed a Masters in Jazz performance at The Guildhall in London. Prior to his post-graduate studies Toby served for 5 years in the Royal Artillery Band based in Woolwich, during which time he performed at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and venues throughout the UK and Europe. No stranger to Yorkshire, Toby won the 1st Section area title with Wakefield Met in 2009.
On 2nd euphonium we welcome Helene Missioux who hails from the village of Villebret in France. Helene is currently studying a Masters course at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where she is being tutored by Steven Mead. Prior to living in the UK Helene completed her undergraduate degree at Strasbourg Academie Superieure de Musique and gained her first experience of brass bands, being a member of Brass Band du Grand Est and then the Strasbourg Brass Band.
